Not much to report.
Grateful for warm showers, sleeping til early afternoon [2:30, maybe] and tim tams and television while snuggled up like a bug in a rug!
THE laziest day :)
Love you.

Tunes.
Grateful for new [bargain!] music, animated movies in 3D and for the excitement of making plans with friends, particularly ones which are a bit random and spontaneous. Groovy :)
It's late, I've been watching trashy TV again, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Sleep well, friends :)

The Perfect Day.
Grateful for the entire day. Every moment was just full of awesome today, really :)
Soo, the plan was to go to the markets by myself, wander about, drink coffee, be a solitary little creature and such. But, life is what happens when you make plans, and today life was in a good mood.
Got to the markets at about eight thirty, browsed around by myself for awhile. Plan began to go marvellously awry when I ran into Andy and Rach. Thai food, tie-dye and a lot of scarves :) Vibey to hang out with, two very rad and lovely people. No need to talk all the time. Silence can be comfortable :)
They left at around noon, so I wandered through the new shop of groovy things in town, took photos out a window and of a wall, bought some badges and had a delicious coffee and listened to some equally delicious tunes that some guy with a guitar was playing; Market Day jamming in the afternoon at that particular coffee place. Walked to the chapel and back, bought a wonderful pen, spent hours wandering the bookstore. Left broke, as always :)
I've always found churches to be fascinating, and tranquil, places so I decided that since I had time and nothing to use it on, I'd wander up to the church and have a look. Door is locked [who locks a church?]. Turned away disappointed and who is striding over the road, key in hand? My grade 6/7 teacher. Stood in the doorway and chatted to her for, truly, hours about everything imaginable - politics, the state of the world, climate change, kids nowadays, what everyone from my old class is doing, what she has been up to, what I've been up to, what will I do next year, volunteering overseas, making a difference, the fulfilling feeling of helping to create a change or help others. She told me about her education and how she came to be where she is. Truly, it was one of the best talks I've had, particularly with an adult, for a long time. I then met her cat and she kindly gave me a lift home. It was great to see her again, and to have such a great chat :)
So, all those things I'm grateful for. Considering I planned for a quiet day, it turned out absolutely spectacular!
Happy Saturday, everyone!

Another Last, Done.
Well, in a year of lasts, that's the last Athletics Carnival, complete. Over, finished. Barrine Won :) And, it was quiet, but enjoyable. Thanks to all those marvellous people who made it so.
I'm mightily grateful that I got out of bed this morning :) It was one of those times where you wake up and know you have to get up, but there's just no motivation. I was very much preparing to stay home, cozy up in bed, sleep til lunch and meander about for the rest of the day. Ah, but I figured I ought to attend the last day of my last sports carnival, ever. Glad that I did, for I'm sure I would've regretted not going. :)
Grateful for chats and such with people I don't know well, or haven't talked to for a while. Mell and I learned to shuffle, from a small child in tracksuit pants who totally put everyone to shame. Humiliating fun :)
Rebelled by returning to the DJing area to chill. Ate frozen cups even though the temperature did not encourage such activities. Took photos of irrelevant things (as well as some relevant things). Sat around like hobos, contemplated creating a campfire with Gary's fire-starting kit (always prepared, like a boy scout with a beard, in a good way of course). Danced about under the balcony. Made friends with the uni-prac-student who was forced to announce all the events. Wore edible jewellery (see top picture). Generally filled in the time, cheering periodically. Participated in a rather awesome tug of war, which we won. The rope-burn was worth the pride, Barrine ladies :)
Chilled out this afternoon, trawling a variety of blogs. Grateful for the first family dinner at the dining table for weeks and weeks (its been entirely covered in textbooks and notes on all imaginable subjects). Toasted marshmallows and now listening to old pop music, soon off to read a book in bed. Nostalgic.
All in all, it was a good day and I'm glad I was there :) For those of you who went, I hope your experience was as pleasant. If not, I hope what you did instead made you happy. Sleep well :)

Oh, simply sporting.
Grateful for a chilled out day with some rad people, a guitar and some gummy worms/snails.
Grateful for guitar-playing and gallavanting and soaking up the sun. And a groovy lunch with DJ Steele and Jake. And a hilarious and surprising chat with two of the arts teachers. Good fun. A cruisy day, not very productive at all, but hey. It was pretty fun :)
Final sport's carnival, Day One, is complete. So far, our team is winning (hurrah!).
I'm really looking forward to going to bed. Goodnight, lovely people. Dream sweetly.

Oh, wow. I wish, don't you?
Grateful for the beautiful, inspiring, uplifting compilation of pretty things made by Amanda Thomas on her blog herecomesthesunblog.com. Have a look, its just lovely :)
Grateful for another follower! Hurrah, the ranks are growing!
Grateful for a half-movie full of nostalgic music which encouraged me to hop on the computer and have a listen to all those old tunes. You know the ones. You haven't listened to it for five years but you're still word-perfect. That is the stuff that memories are made of.
Athletics carnival tomorrow. Shall dress up in green and try to stay warm :) ah, it'll be a good day. As with everything, it seems, this is my last one.
Goodnight, and I wish you all the sweetest of dreams.
Love, much.
