OhSoSplendiferous

Grateful for the loveliest evening that ever there was!

Lizzie, Mariska, Jorge, Rere, lovely ladies that they are, came over for a bit of a dinner party, for my belated birthday. As it was so full of marvellousness, I shall have to resort to listing the gratefulness :)
~
Dressing Up.
Mocktails.
Music.
Chilling.
Chatting.
Chinese Lanterns.
Scrumptious entree.main.dessert, served by the very helpful Gracie
Coffee on the patio.
Coffee in the shed.
Coffee in the morning.
Pillow fight in the dark.
Squishing five people onto a fold out couch.
Late night talking.
Pikelets for breakfast.
Just the whole thing, really.
~
It was a very wonderful time. All of those four have a really great energy to be around and I just loved it. You guys are all so beautiful - we must do it again! :)

That's all from me, for now. Goodnight, you darling things :)

No Lock-Lopping, As Of Yet.

Grateful that I have had a hair cut, and as such am now back in control of my fringe, rather than the other way around. No drastic lock-lopping-off quite yet, as I have dance exams and debutante ball coming up, but come the June/July holidays, we shall see :)

Grateful for a night of laughs with the family. Gosh, they're silly. Love them dearly :)

Grateful that soon, I can go to bed. Just a bit of work to do on the tap and jazz papers for history and anatomy. Oh, the tragedy.

Looking forward to a nice night tomorrow with a couple of lovely ladies!

Watch for bedbugs!

ChocolateyGoodness

Grateful for porridge with honey, and real coffee, and warm socks, all on a chilly autumn morning :)

Also for an unexpected chat with a dear, dear friend.

Grateful for a student leadership meeting which got a little out of hand (running from the beginning of one lunch hour to the end of the next) and motivation for study.

Grateful for a nice afternoon, just myself and Will, having Milo and brownies and doing our homework like good siblings :)

Grateful for a pretty chilled day, and listening to Madonna, and getting things done, and remaining calm.

Chilled out lovin', darlings.

Just Keep Swimming.

Grateful for a drizzly, chilly, rather fun day in Dimbulah at the Interschool Swimming Carnival. Atherton won the day, which was all very exciting, and our relay team came third when third place was disqualified :P It was an enjoyable day. I guess maybe because the people who were there wanted to be there, and I'm fairly sure that everyone there swam at least one race :) not sure who let Ben do the acceptance speech of the shield, but he thanked the owners of the Dimbulah pub instead of the Dimbulah pool! Oh dear.

Grateful for those people who inspire you. Who pick you up and dust you off and tell you "You know what? Everything's gonna be just fine." I'm lucky to know some such folk, and I am grateful for you every single day.

Grateful to have all of tomorrow to study for the english and history exams which were supposed to be today...another reason to be grateful for the swimming carnival! I was only in the relay team, but it was a fun day nonetheless. Only five senior students in total I believe, it was nice to chat with them all, they're all pretty groovy :) I loved the feel of the team spirit, the way we all supported each other and celebrated togehter at the end. A really good feeling :)

A bit of a swimming collage. Katt swimming, Ben speeching, the Atherton team milling about (myself in fluoro) and the Atherton age champions for the day :)

I'm afraid one deadline that is yet to be met is that of my Dance Teaching-anatomy and history papers. Grateful that I have the delicious melodies of the darling Kim Churchill to help me out! So, because there is an awful lot left to do on these blasted things, I must scoot! Goodnight, and lots of chlorine-scented love from me to you!

A little Frankie-esque, methinks.

Grateful, oh-so-grateful, for a sleep-in!
Oh yes, on a school day. No spare lesson or QCS practice for me today! Just chemistry and biology, as I materialised halfway through the day. Really, truly needed the rest and functioned alot better today as a result.

Again, my camera is picture-less. Which is a bit tragic, really. I am, of course, still uploading a picture each day, but they are becoming decreasingly mine. Today's is by ~marycontrary on deviantart. Many thanks.
Once the holidays begin, there will be plenty of photo-love to go 'round. On my list of holiday things is to take more photographs :)

Grateful for a really lovely chat with the really lovely Lizzie :) road trips and the future and independence and all sorts of things. She has simply the best vibes :)

Grateful that its the interschool swimming carnival tomorrow. Long bus trip, hopefully someone to sit with and fingers crossed for a sunny day!

Sleep pretty, you lot. Dream of new adventures, then wake up and go looking for them.

We simply are.

~
We are the writers.
We are the light and the dark, the shallow and the deep.
We are the black and white, and the gray area.
We are the creators, the tellers of stories, the bringers of life to a myriad of characters who would remain otherwise unimagined.
We are good and beautiful, evil and ugly.
We are everyone, and no one at all.
We talk and listen and read and learn and observe and love and try to live, like the normal folk.
We are the writers.
We are art, and history.
We are truth.
We are sin and prayer and forgiveness.
We are hatred and joy, anger and sadness.
We are smoke and grass and cement and trees.
We are what we see and seek.
~

Just a little something I thought I might share :) Grateful for my little notebook of bits and pieces, and music, and organisation. Oh, I do love to be organised, for I so rarely am. I'm glad to be a writer. It opens the world and closes it all at the same time. You can see everything if you look, but you can filter your view to whatever you fancy. This isn't necessarily the trait of a writer - I suppose anyone with imagination can achieve the same.

Grateful that assessment is gradually finishing up. Of the 12 initial pieces due in this last three weeks, I've got only six to go. Very, very happy about that.

I hope you all had a delightful day. Especially Steele - 18 today! Hope it was nice.
Lots of love and cute buttons and kittens and glitter to you all!

Study [chill] Sesh :)

Grateful for a pretty relaxed day, just hanging out :)

Some study of mathematical things and the Gracchi brothers did happen, but so did cake and video games and kittehs and all kinds of ridiculous :)

It was a nice day. Thanks Matt, Steele and Reegan. It was groovy to hang out with you guys :)

Math Exam - Part Two will commence tomorrow morning so I must go and study.
Night all!
