Conversation Topic Divert: On

Grateful for the raddest afternoon.

Rere and I went and paid a visit to Mr Daly, the school guidance officer, with the intention of asking him a few questions about taking gap years after high school and the upcoming trip to JCU Townsville. We left an hour later after having a great chat about eloping, love, famed guitarists, long hair, IVF, anger management and all manner of other things, including an amusing pamphlet adorned with traffic lights. Great, great time much better spent than in the icebox, reviewing the digestive tract :)

Grateful for popcorn today. So, so good.

Grateful that chemistry exam, Part One, is over. Now, I'm off to study for Part Two!

I love you all, like heaps!

A Bit Brief.

Grateful for studying chemistry. I think.

And for an omelet! A lovely omelet of which I was proud :P

And for comics concerning crackers and for tea and coffee and citrus cake. Nom.

Goodnight. I love you.

Seek the New Taste.

Grateful for a beautiful morning with two rad ladies. Rere and Becca, you're both so immensely full of awesome. Gallivanting through paddocks, wearing cowboy boots and psychedelic capes? Sh-yeah! A tangelo and ginger biscuits and coffee and groupies? I think so! Oh, what fun :)

Greenways in the afternoon, student chory and improvisations, a lot of fun. Last one, so a bit sad that it's over. Congratulations to all who performed during the festival :)

Too late, need sleep. No study tonight, despite impending chemical doom.

Greenways.

Grateful for a long, tiring, intense, fun, amusing day at the Greenways Dance Festival. Hurrah :)

"Pictures of You" and "All That Jazz" - Lyrical and Song and Dance sections respectively. Placed second in Lyrical section with "Pictures of You" - first trophy ever, oh-so-excited!

Gracie came first in classical and jazz, highly commended for lyrical.

Very proud of all the dancers. You all did your best, and a brilliant job.

Jordan and I, singing and dancing in our 'twin' [very very similar] costumes with our 'twin' routines :P

Had a great day, wonderful people, good dancing vibe, amazing homemade risotto for lunch and a delicious big biscuit with my coffee!

Today was my second last eisteddfod. I will really miss the buzz of competitions like this, when I finish up this year :/
In and out of costumes, cheering on your teammates, watching your friends and people you know, chatting side stage. The rush, the hustle bustle, the last-minute stretch and warm up, the adrenaline, the sequins and pretty materials and odd, odd moves. Everything. I'll miss dancing in general :(

Back tomorrow - Grace has a classical duo in the morning and then we dance our improvisations and student choreography in the evening session.

It's late, I'm tired and I want to get some rest.
Goodnight!

Jabberwocky.

Grateful that the dreaded English oral presentation of nonsense poetry is over and done and I survived. And that someone actually read the handout I gave them in their own time :)
Grateful for a relatively spontaneous decision to join the school troupe off to Townsville JCU in July.
Grateful for coffee and biscuits with Grandma and her lovely menagerie.
Grateful for a fairly chilled night with some study and episodes of "Are You Being Served?". Classic.

Excited for Greenways Dance Festival to begin tomorrow, despite the early start. The costumes are out and the shoes are polished.I expect to be freezing, but the competition itself will be grand fun. Last one! :O Good luck to all, and congratulations to those who competed and did their best today.

Now, it is time to chem-i-cise. Good night!

Chocolate cake!

Grateful for the beautifuls at dancing today;
An Adele fest? Why not.
And you gotta be the water, be the cup...be the ground!
Hahahaa Helen :)

Grateful for a lengthy session of knock-knock jokes at lunch today, with one of the boys from special education, Liam. He may have told the same jokes four or five times each, but he found them just as funny each time. He's a lovely little human being, always so happy and cheerful.

Grateful for a good, hard session of dancing today, and strawberry licorice and a everything-out-of-your-system cry.

Now, I must read English. Over and over.
I'll dream of similes. Good night to you.
